We were visiting New York from Canada during our time off from school .There were three of us staying in a well-known hotel in Times Square. The hotel has floors for regular guests as well as several floors for their snobby “preferred” guests. As we did not feel safe going out at night we stayed in the hotel, which was kind of boring.
One night while we were there 2 of us went to walk around in the hotel. We started riding the elevators to random floors to kill time. At one point we accidentally got into the “preferred” people elevator, and could smell the stench of the rich. It smelled like the distinct odour of the wealthiest portion of Wall Street. A menacing woman gave us an offensive look, asking if we were “going up”. We could tell she didn’t want us there, but this may have been embarrassment due to her rancid stink of cash.
We went up to the toppest top floor of our hotel and we were traumatized to discover that we had inadvertently made it to the snobbiest snob floor by mistake. Just for a second we felt a feeling of snobbishness overcome us, and immediately went back to another elevator to return to the hobo floors. When we got into the elevator a woman was taking photos of the elevator door with a disgusted expression. Soon after she got off we discovered the horror of American hotels. We saw two hand prints in an explicit position with white “crud” dried all around the finger marks. “Oh my god, someone was screwing the elevator”
When I started my senior year of high school back in 2005, I hung out with a girl, we’ll call her Tammy. So Tammy and I were going around to different stores looking for stuff to decorate a classroom for her Teacher Academy class. We stopped at Dollar Tree.
Dollar Tree has a pretty decent selection of classroom decor so we were in the school supplies aisle looking around. A man walked up to us. He was short, heavy set, balding and had a short beard. He walked up and wanted a handshake. Tammy gave him a handshake and he pulled her in for a hug. Then he grabbed my hand and hugged me. While he hugged me, he made sure to grab my butt. I pushed away from him, Tammy got what she needed and we went to the cashier. We told the manager and he kicked the man out of the store.
Fast forward two weeks. Tammy and I went to Walmart to so she could get tires on her car. We walk in the Tire and Lube door and who do we see but the weird man from Dollar Tree being escorted out by a Walmart manager. There was no way to get around him because there’s only one door in that department. He gave us this really creepy smile as he smacked each of us on the butt as we passed. I’ll definitely never forget that smile. There was just something unsettling about it.

When I was a kid we lived in a city. I was around 8 years old when this incident occurred. I’m female. Probably not relevant but I was tall for my age and had blonde curly hair.
I was outside goofing around alone when I saw this tall, athletic, tanned, blond young man with tiny running shorts (it was the 80s) and he was shirtless. This was normal to me as we were mere blocks from a popular beach. He approached me and asked me a question I thought was absolutely idiotic “Can you tell me how to get to the beach?” “Uhh, go down this street, turn left and go straight down.” Or something like that. He didn’t seem to understand my directions and began chatting with me. I thought he was a total moron; I could find the beach with my eyes closed.
There is a gap in my memory between this point and what happened later. I don’t know how he managed to take me where he did, either. My next memory is being in an underground apartment parking garage with him. Him still chatting, me feeling uneasy. Then he pulled his penis out of the leg of his shorts and began masturbating. Some part of my brain shouted at me to run so I did. I ran like hell all the way home and told my mother who called the police. They never found the pervert. My mom told me years later they were going to beat the shit out of the sicko.

Okay, so to tell this story I have to mention a very important life lesson that helps me all the time, always trust you gut instinct…always. Now on with the story, I was about 16 at the time and my nephews first birthday was coming up so I decided to go to wal-mart to pick up a toy for cheap, yeah auntie of the year right? Well as I was going up and down the toy isle I saw a little girl maybe around 5 years old looking at the barbie toys. Now I wanted the hot wheels and I wasn’t going to find them on the barbie isle, so I went to turn and walk away. But that is when I saw the little girl wasn’t alone anymore.
A man had appeared from the other end of the isle, I stepped back then forward. This man was not her father but the way he was lingering by her made me very uncomfortable. The little girl didn’t look up from the toys and I didn’t see anyone near bye to help me in case I had to fight off a possible kidnapper. I pretended to browse the toys meanwhile taking every detail in of the man. dark jean pants, dirty green coat, skinny build he was no more than 5’3, red hat-oh no-. when I went to look at the details of his face I noticed he caught me staring, his eyes were dark. Not the color I mean dark as in evil…it sent a chill down my spine.
How long was he staring? I decided not to back down and thought about my nephew. what if that were him? I would want someone to stand up and fight off this creep. I didn’t just stand my ground I walked up to them both, ignoring the mans piercing gaze of hatred. I leaned down to the little girl and asked where her mommy was. She didn’t say anything just gestured and began to lead me. I looked up at the man and his face was twisted and enraged. I gave him a smirk, I honestly felt good about it. I met up with the little girls mom and told her about the man and how he gave me a bad vibe. She thanked me profusely and I got my present for the party and left never seeing the man again.

I am a 24 year old female from Romania. At the time this event took place, I was 22 and attending a pretty big university in western Romania to get my masters degree.
Because it’s a masters program, the lectures take place in the afternoon to late at night.
So on this particular day, my lecture finished at 9pm, on a january night. I lived on campus, pretty close to the university building, about a 10 minute walk. My boyfriend also lived close. So after the lecture finished, I said good bye to my classmates and off I went.
I decided to take a shorter route, through a small park that was situated between the university main building and a church. After that day, i would never walk through that park alone at night…
