This isn’t my story but I was told to me by my aunt.
In 2009 in Chihuahua, Mexico there was this old abandoned slaughter house on the hillside surrounded by a small neighborhood.
A lot of residents would climb the hillside where they had visibility to the roof of this old slaughter house and claimed to see rows, and rows of what appeared to be clothes. One neighbor even claimed to see a car drive up weekly to the entrance of the slaughter house and drop off a large black plastic bag and by the following day it would be gone.
This individual became curious of what was in the black bags that would mysteriously disappear over night and decided that the next time this car came and left the bag she would go and check it out.
As the black car made it’s weekly drop off , the lady watched as the people in the car unloaded the bag and drove off.
She quickly made her way to the bag to see what contents was inside. Apon her opening the bag she was startled to find a tiny old man inside who seemed to have been malnourished and on the brink of death. Her heart pounded so hard it felt like it was going to pound out of her chest.
She immediately called for help, getting the attention of the neighbors nearby.
They were all in fear of what was going on and immediately called the cops. Once the attorneys arrived the neighbors all started reporting all the strange occurrences that they were witnessing among the poor old man found in a black plastic bag.
The cops decided to investigate the claims of the clothes in the roof of this old slaughter house and it turns out the clothes that were reported on the roof were rows of bodies men, women, children dead.
The entire situation had sent horror throughout the city of Chihuahua and people speculated who was behind the mass murders of these people. The people of the hillside lived in fear.
The government officials felt that it was neccesary to tear down the old slaughter house to put an end to the crazy psycho serial killers antics. Little did they know what would happen next. Over the course of the following weeks on any given night you could hear the residents of the hillside scream in fear. Neighbors would share their eyewitness accounts of the monsters that roamed the streets seeking the shelter they once called home.
Obviously skeptical my aunt blew off the claims of monsters roaming the streets even after hearing the terrified screams of her neighbors night after night.
The neighborhood was plagued with these creatures.
Over the next few weeks my aunt grew more and more skeptical until one night as she walked home alone from church she notice that for once in weeks the neighborhood was quiet the night sky was dark and the stars lite the sky giving her just enough light to make her way home, as she turned the corner of the dirt road towards her house she was startled with fear at what she saw.
In front of her walked a beast, a creature the size of a medium size dog. The best she could describe it was that it looked like a gargoyle. As it walked down the street it stop in its tracks and glazed at her, she stood their in fear, wanting to scream but the sound just couldn’t come out of her mouth.
The Gargoyle snarled and growled at her, she was paralyzed in fear thinking that, that night would be her last. Just as the monster was getting ready to attack a car came zooming by startling the creature and immediately took off running into the dark shadows of the night.
My aunt never prayed so hard in her life. She made it home safe and closed the door fearing that the creature would return, but it never did. As the weeks went by the the sightings decreased. It seems as though the creature or creatures found a new place to call home perhaps another abandoned building or the many abandon cave mines that fill the outskirts of the city.
I don’t know if I believe in gargoyles but I most certainly believe that she saw something an unknown monster perhaps.
This world is full of secrets that lurk under the shadows of the night.
